FAQs

ORDERING

Can I order a sample?

There's nothing like holding the final invitation in your hands to help make a decision on your wedding stationery. And it can be a big decision, so we recommend you buy from our Sample Sets range to really feel the design up close. Check out our range here. Sample sets are not personalised, but they do help you see the quality of our designs. We do not provide personalised proofs until a full order is made.

Do you have a minimum order quantity?

We have a minimum order quantity of 20 on invitation cards, guest information cards and RSVP cards. On the Day items and Art Prints do not have a minimum order quantity.

How do I place an order?

We're so glad you've found a design you like! To order, simply enter your personalised text in the box provided (if applicable) and add the number you need to your shopping cart.

Remember, with invitations you only need one per couple/family/household and not one per person. We recommend adding between 5-10 spares to your total, to account for any last minute or unexpected guests, and to ensure you have one to keep for yourselves as a memento.

If you require multiple items, add each one to your cart separately, then continue to the checkout when you're ready to complete your order.

We'll send you an email confirmation of your order, and as long as we have all the information we need, a digital proof of your design within 3 working days.

What if I need more than 120 invitations?

If you require more than 120 invitations, guest information or RSVP cards (or more than 80 of our Baby/Christening Invitations), just pop us an email on hello@newportstreetpaperco.com and we'll get back to you with a personalised larger quantity quote.

Can I change the wording on my invitations?

Please include any wording you would like in the boxes provided when placing your order. Small changes to the original wording are easy to accommodate, such as changing 'You are warmly invited to celebrate' to 'You are kindly invited to join us in celebrating'. If your desired wording would result in a major change to the design, or the order the text appears, we will let you know and provide you with 2 alternative digital proofs to choose from. Our priority is creating a design that you are happy to send to your family and friends! We're also more than happy to spread the love and offer our invitations in other languages.

How do I pay for my order?

We accept debit and credit card payments, as well as PayPal. Simply enter your payment details at the checkout.

There isn't much time until our Big Day. Do you do express orders?

Our proofing process takes around 3 working days, with printing and delivery taking just two weeks after approval of your digital proof, so the haste of your confirmation is crucial if you need your order quickly! We can fit in with even the tightest of timelines, so if you do need an order sooner than this, get in touch on hello@newportstreetpaperco.com and we'll do our best to help you.

I've paid for my order but I've changed my mind. Can I cancel?

We accept cancellations on non-personalised items only (for example our Table Number Cards). Notify us by email on hello@newportstreetpaperco.com as soon as possible if you would like to cancel. If your order is still being processed, we will cancel immediately and refund in full within 2 working days on your original payment method. If some time has passed and your order has already been sent out, we'll need you to return it (once received) in its original packaging to the address below. Returns should be made within 14 working days. Once items are received back at Newport Street HQ, a refund payment will be made on your original payment method within 2 working days. We will only cover the cost of return shipping if items are being returned due to a fault on our part.

We do not accept cancellations on personalised orders, unless the cancellation is made within 24 hours of payment. This is because work on your invitations will have already begun after this time.

THE PROOFING PROCESS

I've placed my order, what happens next?

As long as we have all the information we need, we will create your personalised designs and send you a digital proof within 3 working days. We'll email you if we need any more information to complete your order.

Non-personalised stationery orders and Art Prints (personalised and non-personalised) will be sent out within 3 working days. We do not provide digital proofs for our personalised Art Prints, but please see the item listings and our social media feeds for examples of our personalised calligraphy work.

I've received my digital proof, what do I need to check?

Thoroughly examine all the details on your digital proof. We can't stress this enough! Double check all names and spellings (including any addresses) and confirm any dates, contact numbers and email addresses. Make sure that your information matches across all proofs if you're ordering more than one item (the same RSVP date on your invitations and reply cards for example).

It's really important that you check your proofs carefully, as once you've confirmed your approval, artwork is sent out to print and further changes cannot be made. We recommend checking proofs on your laptop or desktop computer, as mobile and tablet screens can do funny things to colours that have been set up for print. If you want to check the colour of one of our designs up close, why not order a sample set?

Newport Street Paper Co. are not obliged to refund orders where an error has been previously approved by you, and will not be able to cover the cost of reprinting and reshipping your order in the case of an approved error. We will, of course, always correct and reprint any mistakes made on our part as quickly as possible.

I'd like to make some changes after seeing my digital proof. How do we do this?

If you'd like to make some changes, no problem. Email us at hello@newportstreetpaperco.com with your name in the subject line and let us know what you'd like to amend. We'll email you a new proof within 2 working days - and won't stop till we get it spot on - it really is so important to us that you're over the moon with your final stationery.

I'm happy with my proof - where do we go from here?

If you're happy with your digital proof, just pop us an email on hello@newportstreetpaperco.com giving us the OK, and we'll get busy printing your order. Please note, we cannot make any changes after this time.

I haven't received a proof yet - what should I do?

We aim to send all digital proofs out within 3 working days, but sometimes things can get pretty busy! Firstly check your spam and junk email folders just in case our email has been hiding there. If you haven't received your proof within this time, please send us an email on hello@newportstreetpaperco.com and we'll be in touch as soon as possible.

DELIVERY

I've approved my proof. How long until I receive my order?

Please allow 2 full weeks for printing and delivery of your order following approval of your digital proof. We'll keep you updated on the status of your order at every step, and we're always on hand at hello@newportstreetpaperco.com if you have any queries.

What about non-personalised orders?

Items that do not require personalisation (and all Art Prints) are sent out within 3 working days from receiving your order.

How do you send orders?

We send all UK orders via Royal Mail (1st Class/Signed For/Tracked 48 or Special Delivery, depending on the total value of your order). Orders are carefully hand wrapped and packaged in either hard backed envelopes or corrugated board boxes (depending on the size of your order). Our Fingerprint Occasion Trees are sent in a cardboard mailing tube for protection. Please see our Delivery page for more information.

Will my invitation order be fully collated before delivery, or do I have to put invitations together myself?

If you order wedding invitations (with or without guest information and RSVP cards), items will be delivered uncollated. This means that we'll send you each part of the invitation in clearly labelled separate bundles, but that you'll need to put them together yourself at home. This is so that you can easily add any extras you want to include in your invitation envelopes, and so things don't get confusing if you have different numbers of Day and Evening invitations for example. Any jute twine that forms part of the design will be delivered in one long length, which you will need to cut down and tie individually around your invitation bundles. Don't worry - we'll give plenty extra to allow for any mishaps! We also provide one invitation bundle pre-collated, so you can see exactly how to put your invitations together quickly and easily.

Hmm that sounds a bit tricky - would you put invitation bundles together for us?

We are always happy to collate invitations for you if you'd prefer. This service is charged at £0.50 per invitation. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please let us know via email on hello@newportstreetpaperco.com once you've made your order. We will be in touch to discuss any detail we need to complete your order collation, and send you an invoice for the additional charge when we share your digital proof.

BESPOKE ORDERS

I like one of your designs, but would reeaallly LOVE it in a different colour. Would you do a colour change?

We are always happy to experiment with our designs and create a scheme that really works for you. Colour changes incur a one-off fee of £20 to cover our design time.

I'd really like a completely unique design. Do you create bespoke work?

We absolutely love to work with couples on bespoke wedding stationery and 'on the day' designs. As well as stationery, we can create signage and other paper decor items for your Big Day. Just get in touch for a personalised quote and we'll come up with something completely unique that matches your vision.

If you're after an original and stunning piece of art, David (the amazing artist behind all our tree prints and the florals in our stationery) loves taking on new challenges. Previous work includes portraiture, animal portraiture and landscapes as well as our original tree designs. Find out more about our Bespoke work here, or send us an email on hello@newportstreetpaperco for a personalised quote.
